For a long time, I was a pretty shitty person to be in a relationship with. I was moody, manipulative, demanding, and dramatic. I still can be, but not to this extent. My communication skills were terrible. I wanted to control everything about everyone in my life, especially those with whom I was in a relationship. My high school boyfriend? Yes, and then also, sadly, my husband — I wasn’t the greatest spouse or partner.
