Do you have questions with polyamory and family?
I'll be speaking at an event this Saturday. Don't miss it.
Hi! I want you to meet a friend and colleague of mine, Elizabeth Cunningham!
Elizabeth has been working and studying in the field of gender, sexuality, and relationships since 2008. In 2010, she started practicing polyamory, and in 2017, she began coaching people specifically in polyamorous relationships and has now helped hundreds of people build relationships that truly work for them.
As someone who has gone through the personal challenges that arise in polyamory as well as professional training and experience, she has amazing insight into what it’s like and what people deal with when it comes to polyamory and non-monogamy.
Through her work, she has discovered that one of the biggest challenges in polyamory is navigating family. Whether that be because you have kids, you don’t know how to come out to your family, or you are navigating having a nontraditional family in the very traditional world, chances are, you’re probably making it up as you go and might be a bit stressed about that.
This is why Elizabeth has created a one-day event — Polyamory and Families: Redefining What’s Possible — on Saturday, October 7, from 12 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST.
There will be 12 interviews with different experts, along with six Q&As (including with yours truly) throughout the day. It’s going to be fun and interactive!
I am one of the speakers! I’ll be discussing transitioning your family from monogamy to non-monogamy, which I have a lot of experience with as someone in a three-parent household. There will be 11 other speakers covering various topics to provide you with more insight, tools, and tips for having the best polyamorous family life.
The thing I love about the polyamorous community is the incredible generosity of resources as we all navigate these uncharted waters together.
Here is the link for you to save your seat. It’s $9 to participate and $33 if you want a recording, too.
The great part about this is that you can watch or listen from anywhere, from the comfort of your own home or on the go!
This summit is for people who:
Are new to polyamory and are unsure how to navigate being poly with family life
Have been practicing polyamory for a while but are now experiencing challenges around family
Would really like a safe space to get their questions answered around polyamory and family
What you will get out of this one-day online event is:
De-nesting with your partner(s) when you have kids
Adding new partners to the “nest” when you have kids
Coming out to your family
Navigating nontraditional families in a traditional world
How to have conversations with your kids about being poly
And more!
These interviews will be potent! There are a quick 30 minutes to deep dive into these topics. We want you to get as much value and depth as possible!
So let me ask you this: Would it be worth it to you to learn from 12 experts in polyamorous relationships who pour their knowledge and wisdom on you for a day?
For me, that’s worth a lot. I didn’t make it here today without my fair share of help and sharing of information from the people that I look up to and admire.
